Bókasafn félagsins

Post by Andri Pogo »

Félagið á nokkrar bækur tengdar áhugamálinu sem félagsmenn geta fengið lánaðar endurgjaldslaust.
Bækurnar eru sem stendur geymdar heima hjá mér í Safamýri og geta félagsmenn sótt og skilað bókunum þangað en ég get hugsanlega skutlað þeim innan höfuðborgarsvæðisins.
Miðað er við að lánstími sé 1 mánuður.

Við mælum með að fólk nýti sér bókakost félagsins.
Í bókunum má oft finna gífurlega miklar upplýsingar um áhugamálið og það skal tekið fram að upplýsingar í bókum eru yfirleitt réttari og ítarlegri en þær sem finna má á netinu.

Undraveröld hafdjúpanna við Ísland.
Jörundur Svavarsson, Pálmi Dungal, 1996, 120 bls, á íslensku.

Image

Þessi bók opnar íslenskum lesendum nýja og framandi veröld - sem þó er svo nálæg. Í hafdjúpunum umhverfis Ísland er þjóðarauður okkar fólginn, en þau geyma líka marga leyndardóma, enda heimkynni ýmissa torkennilegra skepna og furðudýra. Með hjálp froskkafara og ljómyndavélar öðlast Íslendingar hér aðgang að þeim spennandi og fjölbreytta neðansjávarheimi sem dylst undir haffletinum.
Pálmi Dungal hefur tekist stórkostlegar ljósmyndir af íbúum hafsins sem sumir hverjir hafa aldrei verið festir á filmu fyrr í náttúrulegu umhverfi sínu. Jörundur Svavarsson, prófessor í sjávarlíffræði, ritar afar fróðlegan texta um lífverurnar og lífríki sjávar við Ísland.
